3.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Pretty good. Nice toasted chocolate aromas with malts mixed in. Really dark black head with minimal tan head. Smooth palate that had a unique viscosity. Roasted and sweet malts, some chocolate and milky flavors as well. They all blended nicely and were even a little burnt, in a good way. Very good offering from a new brewery.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottled. Pours pitch black with nice creamy tan head. Aroma is chocolate, and soft creaminess. Flavor is super sweet chocolate, and a very rich creamy texture, bitter coffee finish. Exactly what you’d expect from an imperial milk Stout. Pretty awesome. Full bodies and creamy.

3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 13/20
12 oz. bottle. Pours a thick, well retained light beige head, with Belgian lacing, over a clear, dark brown (SRM 30) body.....nose is moderate chocolate, light cocoa, no coffee from the roasted malts, light toffee/caramel minimal hops balance to the malts......taste is slight lactose sweetness, with chocolate, cocoa, light vanilla, toffee/caramel, with very mild hop bitterness......mouth feel, medium body, sticky, alcohol warmth present, creamy carbonation, no acid. This is a sweet, chocolate heavy, dessert like Imperial Stout. It is not as sweet as some, is less complex than others, but is a pleasant enough beer. BJCP 7/3/15/4/6

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Poured from bottle to glass. Dark hue with creamy brown head that dissipated to a ring. Aroma is cola, toffee, prunes, chocolate, soy. Mouthfeel is nice with a medium body and crisp carbonation. Taste is dry sweetness followed by an astringent bitterness. Overall this is a decent brew.

Pour out of 12 oz bottle, dark black pour with tan head, aroma brought notes of lactose, dark sugars, toffee, nice cocoa, roasted notes, nice vanilla in there as well, some slight spice notes. Taste had a mix of nice vanilla, dark cocoa, coffee, hints of lactose and caramel in there, spice notes, finishing sweet, pretty nice.

pours black with a thin beige head and no lacing. lactic and slightly coppery aroma. taste is rich with chocolate and mint. Finish has notes of milk and more metal. Dessery and pleasing but a tad superficial. I like the broad strokes but the details are missing.

12 oz bottle into a tulip glass. Pours a deep brown, almost black. Small tan head that quickly fades, leaving good lacing. Nose is cocoa and dark malt. Taste is chocolate, caramel, and dark malt, with a sweet note. Just delicious.

Tap ... CO2 pump .... Dark and chocolate with a very nice tar colored head. Retention would be better with nitrogen, but this is what's available at the moment.
There's a malty, coffee aroma followed by a rich chocolate, coffee and malt flavor. The velvet body hangs on the tongue with a linger of smoke. Finishes with an extremely subtle bite in the back of the throat. Nice balance for the style.
I would pair this with a strong aged cheese ... Very nice.
