3.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 kevinator (315) - The Colony, Texas, USA - JAN 8, 2013Pretty good. Nice toasted chocolate aromas with malts mixed in. Really dark black head with minimal tan head. Smooth palate that had a unique viscosity. Roasted and sweet malts, some chocolate and milky flavors as well. They all blended nicely and were even a little burnt, in a good way. Very good offering from a new brewery.

Bottle from trade with crajun. Pours near pitch black with a small bubbly head that quickly fades. Aroma is somewhat faint but pleasant. Mostly chocolate milk with some light roast and caramel. Really nice taste. Perfect chocolate milk taste up front and finishes with caramel, coffee, and fudge. Medium body and a silky smooth mouthfeel. Barely detect the alcohol at first but becomes apparent as it warms. Overall, really nice sweet stout. Really nice flavors and very easy to drink for the high abv. Dangerous beer.
3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 Chipalsa (1087) - Florida, USA - MAY 10, 2013
What an interesting brew, thanks to OmegaX for sharing it. The body poured a deep black body with somewhat of a silky head. It smelled like oxidated, cold pressed cofee and dark chocolate. The taste was full of bittersweet chocolate, roasted malts and it all went together very nicely with the creamy texture. Cheers!!!

Pitch black pour with a khaki head. Nose is roasted malts, chocolate, lacto, cocoa, bitter, and fudge. Very smooth and creamy on the palate, heavy roasted malts, creamy fudge, and a great finish.

12 0z bottle. Aroma is dark malt, with hints of dark fruit. Appearance is dark with a thick tan head. Taste is of dark fruit all the way through out. Finishes toward the dark malt. Palate is dry and kinda off putting. Overall, a good beer. Tastes almost kinda dark Belgian. Would drink again.

Wow. On tap at henrys tavern in Plano. Definite chocolate in aroma. Black pour. Taste was chocolate and roast. I didn’t get the lactic taste in milk stouts which I dislike so that makes this my favorite milk stout. Will try again
4.3 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 TwinBeer (48) - Houston, Texas, USA - APR 3, 2013
Pours midnight black with light beige head and great lacing. Aroma of sweet dark malt and hints of caramel. Taste smooth dark chocolate with light bitterness and milky finish. Overall an excellent example of a milk stout that hides the 9.1% abv very well great job Lakewood!!!!
3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 OmegaX (968) - Florida, USA - APR 2, 2013
Thanks Mr. Dixon, for sending me a few of these. Aroma was very rich with full on roasted malts, sweet chocolate, prune-like aromas, brownies, and cocoa. Pour is dark black and quite viscous looking. Mouthfeel is less thick than it appears to be. Taste is raisin, rich semi-sweet chocolate, roast, alcohol, and lactose. Very nice.
3.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 AZBennett (73) - Chandler, Arizona, USA - APR 1, 2013
Pours dark brown, nearly black with a small tan head. The aroma is sweet cocoa and some cream. Flavors are HUGE chocolate, subtle bread and just a hint of licorice on a backbone of roast and mild alcohol heat. The mouthfeel is nearly perfect though a little lighter than a 9% stout would lead you to believe. Overall, super good, this needs to be and Imperial Milk Stout as it has huge flavor, big ABV and definitely sits above most milk stouts.
3.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 zmanzorro (82) - Dallas, Texas, USA - MAR 25, 2013
Poured from bottle into tulip glass. Color is almost black with a small tan head. Light aroma that is sweet and dark. Big roasted dark sweet taste with a hint of alcohol on back. Slightly less carbonation than average that leaves a slight tingle. One of my favorite local Dallas beers
