3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
12 ounce bottle courtesy of Secret Santa. Thanks! Black, large foamy brown head, good retention. Aroma of, well, a blast of lactose, some roast, dark chocolate. The taste is chocolate, vanilla, lactose, sugared fruits. Medium bodied, low carbonation, mild lingering bitterness. Odd, weird, disjointed and all over the place, but, hell, it works.

3.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle shared by alexsdad06. Poured a dark brown color with an average frothy brown head that lasted with excellent lacing. Moderate roasted chocolate, caramel and alcohol aroma. Medium sweet toasted dark chocolate malt flavor with a medium to heavy dark sweet and small alcohol bite finish of moderate to long duration. Medium to full body with a smooth texture and flat carbonation. This is a solid beer.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
12 oz. bottle from Errl shared with the group. Pours a dark cola brown color with a small beige head. The aroma and flavor have caramel, chocolate, lactose, light roast, a mild smoky character, decent flavor, lighter body for an imperial stout, some sweetness, low carbonation, decent enough.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Garland, Tx - on tap at the Lakewood Tap Room. Deep, dark black motor oil like pour, nice film of a mocha colored head, decent lacing. Licorice, creosote, chocolate in the aroma. Flavor is solid with a solid chocolate base, some licorice accents, a touch of prunes, a distant hint of vanilla. Nice thick, rich mouthfeel.

3.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pour is black with a light brown, worthers original head and some larger bubbles. Nose has light roast up front, hint of metallic sweet twang and a fair bit of malt sugary sweetness behind. Taste has a bit more rich malt depth. Some fudge like flavors and some vanilla with a heavy roast mid palate. Lots of sweetness in back and a lingering coffee bitterness. Body is full, soft, and nicely carbonated.

Misc.: Bottled on Jan. 6, 2015
Poured a pitch black color with 1-to-2 fingers of dark khaki tan, frothy head, which dissipated rather quickly. Very light sporadic foamy spot(s) on the sides of the glass. Poor retention. (Sight - 3.50)
Smelled dark fruits, caramel, toffee, artificial vanilla, fake chocolate, roasty malts and chocolate syrup late. (Smell - 3.38)
Tasted much better than the smell, initially reminding me of a Sam Adams Chocolate Bock. Got milk chocolate, chocolate syrup, toffee, caramel, artificial vanilla, faint smokiness and light chocolate milkshake. Doesn’t taste anywhere near 9.1 pct. ABV, maybe like 6.4 pct. (Taste - 3.75)
Medium-to-full body. Creamy texture. Average carbonation. Long, smooth, slightly warming finish. Best part of this beer. (Feel - 4.13)
This was an OK milk stout, but it did get better was it went down. I’m sure after two or three of these, the night would be good. (Overall - 3.75)

Tasted on Nitro @ Meddlesome Moth Nose - Milk chocolate and mild fruit nose. Taste - Wow, fairly silky with a medium sweetness. The soft fruits and cocoa powder meld perfectly and there’s a roasted nut aspect on the finish. Very tasty!
