Amber colored pour from bottle. Had a carmely and malty taste to it. Not very pleasant but also don't like bock much so that doesn't help

Bottle 341ml. Pours clear amber with low off-white head. Aroma is of caramel, sugar, malt, toffee, slight roasted malt. Taste is of toffee, caramel, sugar, malt, faint bitterness. Palate: Medium body. Medium carbonation. Overall: Malty, lots of caramel. Somewhat sweet, but not really cloying. Good but one-sided (caramel). Oh, and the similarity to a Dunkler Bock is questionnable. I don’t really get the abyssal ratings, as this one does’nt seem offensive to me at all. Whatever.

341ml bottle. Pours a slightly hazy light amber with a tan head. Lots of caramel notes on the nose, light dried apricot, light raw pumpkin notes, and light straw. As for taste, sweetness up front with more caramel, mineral notes, light alcohol, lots of straw heavy malt notes, and decent bitterness. It’s not bad, I’d drink it again, but it sure doesn’t make me think "bock" at all.

Évaluation no.32. Octobre 2010.

341 ml bottle from Drummondville Loblaws (part of mix pack). Pours a lightly cloudy burnt orange with modest-sized eggshell-coloured head. Aroma is fruit, caramel and some light floral character. Taste is fruit, cereal grains, lightly toasty caramel and gentle floral/spicy note. Not bad.
