341ml bottle. Pours pitch black with a half finger tan head that fades to a ring fast, then eventually to nothing. Smell is roasted malts. notes of chocolate, coffee, and alcohol. Taste is balanced with a mildly roasted, slightly sweet, alcohol aftertaste. Creamy/oily texture. Medium to full body. Low to medium carbonation. A solid Imperial Stout. Nothing harsh bot also nothing that blows me out of the water. Would buy a bottle again.

Bottle 341ml kindly shared by Dominique. A dark be er with copper head. Nose is low on dark chocolate, bit of coffee astringency. Aroma is on dark chocolate with intense coffee notes, body seems low for the alcohol level, finish is dry with coffee astringency.

Pour is jet black with a fizzy dark brown head with reddish hints. Very mild retention and no lacing. Aroma is lots of chocolate, coffee and roasty-toasty goodness. Taste-wise it’s....weird. There’s this weird earthy/leathery element that seems out of place, and kind of kills the chocolate/roasted malt. It’s also kind of watery. As is often the case with these guys, I’m a little underwhelmed.

Pours a motor oil opaque black robe forming half a finger of moka head showing nice microcarbonation underneath. Retention is not so impressive but you get a decent amount of fine lacing when you tilt the glass. The nose is mostly dominated by dark chocolate with toasted nuts and banana in the back. The taste is sweet, liquorish and well-supplied dark chocolate paired with a nice nutiness. The brew feels ample and finishes dry with floral hops . This is a robust stout with a satisfying feel. Pair this with your favorite decadent chocolate dessert or enjoy it on its own. Due to the lower ABV, I wouldn’t let this one on the shelf more than a year before cracking it opened. Cheers!

341 mml bottle tasted on 02/06/2014. Opaque black colour with a medium beige head. Aroma is coffee, chocolate and roasted malts. Intense dry and bitter aftertaste with predominance of the coffee. The problem for me is the low carbonation of the beer. Next one please!

Had this for breakfast on memorial weekend. Crazy thick and milky beer. Chocolate and creamy taste. Can taste the alchohol. Very good stout

341ml bottle. A very dark brown, almost black body, small chocolate head with phenomenal retention. Aroma of chocolate, coffee, condensed milk, toffee, a bit woodsy and leathery. Taste of wood charcoal, dark chocolate, old coffee, caramel, woodsy and a touch of herbal hops towards the end. A very fine and classy stout.
