2.4 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
Bottle tasted blind. Bottle. Amber body, small white head. Very muted aroma, light grainy notes. Grainy, moderately bitter flavour is pleasant enough but does not have much going on really. Average palate. Quite surpised to find out its supposedly an IPA. Thanks Tiggmtl.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Golden color. Aroma of malt, mature. Reasonable body structure, bitter dry version of a barley wine. Average.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
341 ml bottle. Slightly hazy reddish golden. Sweet marzipan malty aroma. Pungent hops. Smells really sweet. Feels thin at first, but hops are soon to cover the tongue. Quite bitter with a substantial sweet body. Not really complex, but still quite an interesting beer. Reminiscent of a low alchol barley wine.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle shared with and courtesy of HogTownHarry. Pours a clear orange-amber with a spare diminishing white head. Aroma of sweet malt, fruit and funky hops -- simple but nicely balanced. Watery flavour starts malty sweet and has a pretty big long hoppy finish. The finish needs to be a bit mellower to make this more pleasant to drink. Body’s a little thin. I wasn’t expecting much, this wound up being better then I thought it would be. A pretty decent Canadian IPA.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle (341ml). Shared with blankboy, my bottle, via trade with turg. Poured clear amber with a small off-white head. Pleasant blend of light roast sweet malt and funky mild hops, hint of apricot. Flavour also a blend of the light roastiness and mild pungent hops - finishes longer than I thought it would, fairly bitter, bordering on harshness - average body (watery on the front of the tongue, decent by the back), astringent, dry and a little flat - very nice, nothing special, but if it were a little smoother would be an okay variation on a mild IPA.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Offwhite, small head. Hazy dark orange body. Sweet, broad, marzipan roasty aroma, vaguely creamy and cognac-like. Sweet, malty, roasted almonds, sugary taste with dry, bitter aftertaste. Surprisingly little aroma, which is disappointing in an IPA, but by no means a poor beer.

2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
UPDATED: APR 23, 2006 341ml bottle. Clear amber orange. Signature sweet malt that is found in many other beer from this brewery. In the case of an IPA I found that sweet malt taste to be like my cousin Louis, very annoying. Grassy and shy bitterness. Not bad by any means but one of the least interesting IPA bottled over here.
