Arome chocolat, torréfaction. Couleur noire opaque. Collet autour du verre qui reste bien. Goût torréfié, bien malté avec sucre résiduel, sans être non plus trop présent. Équilibre bien atteint. Finale d’alcool douce et d’amertume fine. Corps généreux. Effervescence qui intensifie légèrement les saveurs. Excellente !

5 oz. sampler at the brewpub. I coulda sworn this was called "Kozak". App.: DEEP cherry cola with a tight, light mocha head. Aroma: raspberries and cherries, sour cherries, wood and red wine, dark malt behind that. Some yeast here and in the after-taste. Palate: med. body, somewhat creamy, low carbonation with a few sharp bubbles. Flav.: nutty, sherry, some raisins and dried fruits, a bit woody. Alcohol comes through on the finish. Coats the mouth with chocolate, molasses and dried fruits that linger and change to dark-roasted coffee. Moderate sweetness that is tempered by mild bitterness. OK! Another decent brew!

Very dark brown, almost black, medium long-lasting creamy off-white head. Burnt toast with a hazelnut cream in a mocha beverage. Faint chocolate, brown sugar and liquorice. All that is very well held together by a rich body and creamy mouthfeel. Spelled Cosaque in french and Kosak in english and that’s unfortunate because I’m french speaking and at the end of a scrabble game I’m always stuck with those damn ‘k’s.

Bu sur place, 10 oz. Noir comme la nuit, petit collet. Légé arome de malte avec un bon mélange de cacao et de caramel, un peu épicé. Bon goût de malte torrifier, arrière goût caramelisé et fort. C’est bon!

Verre à la brasserie. Arôme: Odeur de chcolat et de torréfaction. Apparence: La couleur est brune très foncée. Présence d’un moyen col cr.meux beige et d’une fine dentelle sur le verre. Le tout est pétillant. Saveur: Goût de raisins et de figues. La durée de l’arrière goût est moyenne. Palette: Le corps est plein et la texture est sirupeuse. L’effervescence en bouche est moyenne. Présence d’alcool chaleureux en arrière goût. (Rating #348)
