Cloudy dark yellow, nearly orange with a swirly and patchy white head. Sharp opening, mild bitterness in the middle and a slightly acidic finish. Overall a clean and drinkable beer, but lacks depth and definition. The hops are muted where they should really be more vibrant. kp (8400), Woodstock, Georgia, USA

| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 11/20 | Aug 21, 2007 Aroma is a bit biscuity, but some arguably floral hop comes across. Light golden amber color with a white head that rapidly filmed. Thin to medium bodied; a tad tart from the near creamy carbonation. Taste is something of biscuit and caramel, and as the sweetness ebbs, some hop bitterness takes over. Not smooth, but clean, and quite appropriate for the style. dwedin (238), Portland, Oregon, USA

Pours a hazed copper with a dirty white head. Pleasantly sweet malt aroma. Biscuits and cookies. Yum. The flavor has the same baked good qualities, with some very subtle bitterness. We can just barly call this beer a pale ale. Still, I would easily drink the beer any time, and be happy. SynergyXJ (506), Blacksburg, Virginia, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Aug 18, 2007 Bottle Hazy yellow golden pour with light microbubble head. Earthy aroma with a hint of hop. Flavor follows much more earthy. Decent, but definitely nothing outstanding. Really good for an organic though, couple extra points in overall for that. lb4lb (2011), Austin, Texas, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | Aug 13, 2007 Slightly cloudy orange color with a good white head and lacing. Smell is a nice mild hop aroma with a hit of sweet caramel thrown in too. Taste is pretty balanced between the malt and hops, but the alcohol is noticeable on the finish, which shouldn’t be there on a 4.7% beer. If not for that, a pretty decent pale, but still ok even though. kramer (2465), Sunbury, Pennsylvania, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Jul 25, 2007 12 oz bottle, via Ughsmash I believe. Pours a clear dark gold body under a one finger off-white fizzy head. Quite a bit of visible carbonation. Aroma is pretty light, just a little floral hoppiness and a toasted malt base. Flavor is much the same, a little too sweet for my tastes with an odd medicinal note on the finish. Minimal bitterness. Mouthfeel is light to medium bodied with a little risidual sweetness leaving a little bit of a sticky gummy note on the finish. Pretty pedestrian, even for an APA. Really surprised to see Goose Island is behind this effort.
