| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jul 24, 2007 Bottle... Clear amber ale with orange highlights and a mid-sized, fizzy, off-white head. Decent retention. Biscuity, malty nose with a strong note of toasted English toffee and a faint note of black tea. The flavor slants toward the sweet side of balance. I really like the blend of biscuity and pilsner-esque pale malts alongside moderately bitter, earthy hops. Great roastiness. Medium-bodied with lively carbonation. Toasted caramel, earthy, bitter-sweet finish. Malty, English IPA!
