Not bad. Wondering how far the recipe varies from Goose Island. Is this available at ALL the Whole Foods? Pretty decent. Will probably rerate after sampling again.

Slightly hazy amber with little head. Toasted caramel aroma. Toasted malt and caramel flavor with a smooth, mild finish. Very drinkable with a nice body. Lacking in hop character for the style though. Better than previous versions I’ve had.

Hazy orange color with a white head. Weak aroma of floral hops and malt. Some lemon flavor. Fairly watery.

Slightly hazy, copper appearance with a short lived head. Modest aroma that had a spicy hop profile. Taste mirrored this to a large extent: flowery and spicy. Finish was acidic and a little thin. Middle-of-the-road pale ale.

Slightly hazy honey-amber hue with a moderate frothy, off-white head that’s quickly diminishing. Malt notes of bread, grains, and a touch of caramel followed by a rather sloppy DMS/vegetal aroma. Soft orange and floral hop tones. Touch of honey sweetness in the nose. Moderately sweet, lightly acidic, lightly bitter flavor becomes a lightly sweet, lightly acidic, lightly bitter finish. Flavor introduces an element of caramel covered pineapple slices. Graham cracker like aftertaste. Lightly astringent. Medium bodied, oily texture, moderate carbonation. Muddled and narsty flaws.

Clear golden color pour with a foamy head. Aroma is mostly sweet toasted malt with hints of citrus and floral hops. Flavor follows the same pattern, sweet and malty up front with a light bitter finish. Pretty standard APA.
