Christmas Beer.
Ale in Belgian Speciality Ale style. Christmas amber coloured beer with orange reflections which give vigour during cold winter nights. On the nose, it features notes of mixed blossom honey, peach and apricot in syrup, with a light spicy taste of ginger. In the mouth, it brings out notes of syruped fruit and honey, and fragrance of dried fruit in the end, almond in particular. It has a delicate bitter taste which is not in contrast with the sweet taste of the dominating fruity notes. 19į

Drayght at Uiltje Bar. Clear dark golden with a medium white head. Medium to full body with low to moderate carbonation. Quite sweet with subtle bitter tones. Ripe fruits, malts, caramel and honey. Altough itís pretty sweet itís still a tasteful brew.

Light and clear amber with a fairly large head. Caramel forward taste that devolves into a bitter, funky mess.

On tap at Bir & Fud. This Christmas ale was a vibrantly clear copper with a foamy head & a dank hoppy aroma. Definitely a different take than most Italian Christmas beers! Med-light bodied with a spritzy carbonation. The taste is bready sweet & bitter but well balanced. Maybe in a similar vein to Sierra Nevadaís Celebration?

On tap @Stavio (Rome). Clear amber with a big white head. Aroma is belgian yeasts, fruity, raisins, brown sugar, orange peel, some spices. Flavour is well balanced between sweetness and a decent bitter end, caramel, candy sugar, fruits, alcol is very well hidden. High body, medium to low carbonation. A bit simple, but refined and well brewed, complimenti!

Nice golden color with small head. Very hoppy, a little bit of spices from the yeast as well, but thatís not really coming through enough. Still quite nice and better than expected.

Tap at Open Baladin, Roma, 09/02/14. Lightly hazed golden amber with a thinnish off white covering/pond. Nose is dark fruits, herbal twang, bitter orange, spice, earthy, boozey notes, red grapefruit. Taste comprises orange peel, bread dough, earthy, light booze, herbal qualities, tangerine, tangy tropicals, sugars. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, sweet closure. Quite a sweet number, ABV well disguised making it a fairly easy drinker for almost 9%, though it lacks any great depth for said ABV.

On tap at the brewpub. Clear deep amber, big head. Fruity nose followed by fruit and caramel flavours, ending semi-dry. Some acidity. Decent.
