Herber, frisch hopfiger Beginn mit angenehmen, nicht übertriebenen Grasnoten. Vollmundig, zum Ende deutlich bitter. Simpel, stimmig, gut. 10/12/12/12//12

@Mondial de la Bière 2010, Strasbourg - slightly hazy blond colour, little white foam; gently grapefruity hoppy finish; medium-bodied, some astringency and with a long grapefruity reminiscence and a solid hoppy finish
3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20 pivnizub (8044) - Bochum, Porúří, GERMANY - MAR 2, 2013
Bottiglia: Hazy, golden to deep golden, big rocky and stable off-white head, herbal grapefruity hoppy aromas with a delicate malty (almost chocolatey) background; moderate - not too dry - bitter-sweet flavour, too light bodied; grapefruity-malty finish with a slight tartness. Nice brew, but too thin…
2.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20 maeib (7630) - Wootton, Northampton, Northamptonshire, ENGLAND - AUG 12, 2009
Bottled GBBF 09. A hazy light amber coloured beer with a whitish head. The aroma has as hint of spice but not much else. The taste has some bitterness but again a lot of nothingness. Pretty poor and dull.
3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 JorisPPattyn (7363) - Antwerpen, BELGIUM - SEP 9, 2008
Draught Small head, very fast gone over (cold) hazy pale-orange beer. Nutty nose, slighly oxydized malts, followed after some time by UK-like hops; further caramel. Very nice lightly bitter in the British way, but with a strange retronasal flavour, very outspokenly reminiscent of peanut butter. Not really light body; good carbonation. Strange, but certainly not bad - makes a good ’quaffing’ ale.
3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 MartinT (6934) - Montreal, Quebec, CANADA - AUG 11, 2008
My Bottom Line:
Earthy hop resins surround the mild malt sweetness in this smooth and moderately bitter American-style Pale Ale.
Further Personal Perceptions:
-A pillowy head of foam slowly sinks into the hazy blond orange.
-Some caramel undertones are felt.
-The handpump serving imparts a very smooth mouthfeel.
-I am used to enjoying more hop aromatics from the style, so the politely citrusy nose was a little too subdued for my tastes.
-The resinous hop bitterness is lengthy but never overbearing.
On cask at the brewpub.

Sampled on tap at the Italian exhibition stand, Danish/Copenhagen Beer Festival 09. Amber body, partly hazy. Thin layer on he surface. Smooth malt-fruity aroma. Hoppy citrus in flavour mixed with malty sweetness. Dry hopped ending. Ok pale ale (15.05.2009).

Bottle. Medium high white and lasting head. Clear golden body. Fruity aroma with grassy notes. Mild but fairly hopped barley malt flavor with caramel low carbonation and a long dry aftertaste.

Cask hand pump at the brewpub.
Cloudy brown beer.
Packed with flowery bitterness, but there is a fine malty body, too. Piney finish. Too bitter for some, perhaps, I ordered another pint!
