COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Porpora is an interesting Bock hopped with Styrian Golding, Perla and Cascade and dry hopped with Styrian Golding.
Lager in the Hopped Bock style. Bright red colour with ruby reflections. On the nose, caramel notes are neat and followed by clear herb notes from hoppers, finally surmounted by winy and dried fruit scents. It tastes of syruped fruit but it never becomes sickly, thanks to the perfect balance ensured by the hopper. As a whole, this beer has an extraordinary balance which makes it extremely easy to drink. 18°

Bottle, bought @ Etre Gourmet, Belgium. Pours clear dark amber with a small, creamy off-white head. Aroma has sweet caramel, toasted, milky chocolate. Medium carbonation, fine dry and quite creamy mouthfeel. Flavour has good toasted caramel, chocolate, liqourice. Fine dry and quite creamy mouthfeel. Nice.

Hazy pour, thin head, fantastic aroma from the hops, bitterness compliments the sweetness. A very complex bock. Nice!

Red brown colour. Texture is really rich, smooth and creamy. Quite a sweet malty taste with caramel then a touch of bitterness in the finish. Hop comes through in the aftertaste quite well.

On tap at BQ Naviglio Grande, Milano, Italy. Clear amber coloured, medium sized off-white head, dried fruits and some notes of caramel in the nose. Sweet malty, caramel and hops with dried fruits and alcohol. Rather sweet finish with hint of spices. Interesting but unbalanced.

UPDATED: JAN 10, 2013 Rewelacyjny bock z mikrobrowaru włoskiego.
