4 oz. sampler from the tap. Poured a medium amber hue with a one finger foamy white head. There was decent retention and lacing. Most notable is the high yeast aroma. Of the four ambers I have tasted this summer, this is the weakest.

Poured from a tap. Clear golden color, small white head. No real aroma. Light body with not much flavor and a light finish. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

On tap at The 3 Brewers bar in Toronto. Bronze with a ring of cream head; malty aroma; soft caramel taste; with a moreish malty finish. A rather one-dimensional amber ale.

bunget (498) - Ottawa, Ontario, CANADA - MAY 21, 2014
On tap at the Kanata location. Clear copper body, minimal white head. Very faint aroma of light caramel and a touch of fruitiness. A rather unusual taste: caramel, a higher than normal amount of hops, mineral, yeast. A little unpleasant off flavour.

Tap at 3 Brasseurs on Yonge. Deep amber colour with very little white head. Sweet malt and caramel aromas. The taste is mostly sweet with some bitter notes, although the body is less robust than most ambrées that I know. Not tremendously exciting or characteristic, but decent.

Caramel, spelt (sarrasin), clean yeast, hopless. Not bad at all. Nice smooth bready and spelt flavours actually, although too filtered. Simple but Flavourful.

Light brown colour. Aroma is a little floral. Flavour has some caramel sweetness but otherwise is thin and watery. Has a non distinct bitterness in the finish.

On tap in the Ottawa brewpub, $4/pint on Tuesdays. Pours a clean deep amber with not much lacing, nor head. Fruity amber malt nose with a little sweetness. The taste also has fruity amber malt with some yeast in the finish. Not much hop compared to their Sugar Shack (also tried tonight, based on their amber). An easy-drinking amber beer with some decent amber malts and yeast.

On tap at Yonge Street, Toronto location. Amber coloured. Malty aroma. Malty taste. A whole lot of malt going on. A little bitterness. I'm not a fan to be honest. Did I mention the malt? ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

On tap @ Les 3 Brasseurs Laurier. Clear amber with a small off-white head and little lacing. Aroma is of cereals, caramel and light mineral notes. Taste is light and very similar to the aroma. Medium body. Medium carbonation. Light earthy finish. Not really tasty, but not that bad either. I could probably drink half of a glass of it without being coerced.
