Keg at Moeder Lambic St Giles, 20/11/15. Lightly hazed golden blonde with a decent off white covering that retains well. Nose is lemon wine gums, light tangerine, straw, hint of bread, floral notes. Taste comprises light funk, citric pith, straw, trace of yeast, white pepper. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Decent Belgo pale.

On tap at Moeder Lambic Fontainas Brussels . Cloudy gold lasting white head. Spicy hoppy saison aroma. Some herb and flowery hoppy aroma. Taste is a bit different after so much lambic. Big dry hopped beer. Verges on the soapy. Lavender soap. Smooth but too over the top for me. OK.

Finishing my night at Moeder Lambic Fontainas with their west coast IPA L’Amer de Moeder’s 6% A bright gold with a thick white head the nose is green spearmint and pine. Medium bodied with a raspy dry mouthfeel. The taste is sweet green minty gum, light malts and a dry floral finish. Alright but nowhere near a top quality west coast IPA but it’ll do the trick. Chouffe Houblon’s much nicer though. Not so complex but it grew on me.

On tap at Moeders. Deep gold, white head. Aroma pine, hops. Medium body, dry bitter taste throughout. A very nice, complex, yet refreshing beer.
