An unclear light orange beer with a small white head. The aroma is sweet with strong notes of wheat, but also notes of coriander and banana. The flavor is also very wheaty with notes of oranges, banana, and hints of coriander, leading to a dry wheaty end.

Drinking this, I interpreted it as a fusion between a German Hefeweizen, with the malted wheat and banana flavors, and a Wit, with the spices especially coriander - which the description also states, though it is listed as a Wit. I never found a fusion wheat that I really liked.

Sampled draught at the brewpub.
Hazy pale yellow. Generous coriander aroma, Sweet and firm with rounded mouthfeel. Light flavoured but solid, perhaps on the sweet side.

Marshmallow fluffy nose, full of semi-sweet lemongrass, orange peel sweet hays and more. Palate is chalky, sticky, dry, sandy, that sort of thing, which is odd for a witbier. There’s a mellow lemon and cream yeast flavor, with some wheat husk and bread notes. Murky yellow body turning to lemon colored and bright in natural light. Some funk in the nose at times, like sweat, I guess a little musky, that would be the only downside.

Slighlty cloudy, smallish head but it left nice lacing. Lots of coriander notes, and a bit of orangey citrus in the back. Body is pretty thin.

Medium clean wit, rather sweet nose. Cloudy light gold , small crown . Quiet light , smooth with clean body . Some malt like aftertaste. Due to thin body alcohol is visible. Hard to believe that this is 12 P. It feels more like 10.

Rastacouere (6130) - Montreal, Quebec, CANADA - NOV 26, 2003
UPDATED: JAN 19, 2004 on tap: Hazy yellow body with a one inch white head, decent lasting. Aroma is wheaty, coriander, orange, sweet citrus. Palate is slightly creamy, light and easy going, lightly tart with a definite banana wheat taste reminiscent of an extremely light weizenbock, rather grainy. Okay example of the style
