3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20
Given the lower alcohol, English yeast and U.K. hops, really an English style porter. Creamy, chocolate malts. light mouthfeel. Light roast aroma. Nice dark colour with good head and abundant lace. Quaffable, though good use different malt profile. Real ale.

3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
A hazy dark brown beer with a small brown head. The aroma is slightly sour combined with notes of yeast, brewmash, and caramel. The flavor is sweet with strong notes of roasted malt, as well as caramel and toffee.

5 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 20/20
Cask drawn at the brewpub. Pours a thick black cream with a thick large bubble tan head. Aroma is of coffie and chocolate with a sweet nutty hint. Mouthfeel is milky. Taste is dominated by roasted barley dancing with chocolate malt and a nutty coffie flavour. Undertones are burnt toast, tree fruit, slightly bitter, vinnilla, brandy, cane shugar and a little trace of maple. Aftertaste is bitter hops and coffie, finishing with a dry bitterness. Lovley, just lovley. Cheers.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Dark brown hue, with a creamy tan-colored head, with coffee, roasted malt, dark malt, and a chocolatey aroma follows through on a medium-bodied palate with roasted malt, cacao accent, burnt toast, mellow charecter leading towards a roasted bitterness finish.

Cask at the brewpub
Dark mahogany, tan head, nice lacing. Nose of light roast and plums, ash. The flavor is harsh and dry, makes me depressed how bad it tastes. meh.

2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 10/20
Brown and opaque with a thin head (more like a sheen). Taste is both tinny and buttery with a decent roasted flavor as the only saving grace. Everything in this beer is toned down. Chocolate, malts and coffee. Tasty yeah but a weak ass porter.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20
Cask... RBSG2005... Dark brown brew with a creamy, light brown head. The aroma and flavor are all about deep-roasted coffee grounds, charred wood and chocolate. Medium-bodied and silky with vanilla, chocolate, bitter hops and deep-roased malt. Finishes a touch watery and lightly bitter.

3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Cask. Dark brown in color, tan head, kind of dense. Somewhat mild aroma, some cocoa, lighter roast. Flavor is dry and roasty, mild semi-sweet chocolate. Medium bodied, smooth, yet pretty dry. Nice, but not all that great.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
A light tan head on top of a semi-dark brown body with ample light shown at the edges of the liquid. Decent smooth texture with some robust, creamy maple and vanilla flavors. Nose has some buttery artifacts, sour even. Not complex, but a simple, tasty porter than at times isn’t distinguishable from their dunkel, though I didn’t taste them side-by-side.

Pour was black with a small tan head...smell was roasty with something sour?..taste was metallic dish vegetable water...finish quick and coffee-ish...
