Dark brown, nice little head. Dark malty nose, hints of dark chocolate. The mouth is sweet, but not in chocolate kind of way, instead roasted maltiness is key here. On the light side. Good. Draught.

Black opaque body topped with a thin beige creamy head. Mild malty aroma with smokey and sweet hints. Alcohol is well hidden. Pleasant smokey taste with flavors of roasted coffee and chocolate. It ends with a nice warming effect. Without being particularly impressive, this is a drinkable Baltic Porter.

Ahhh a baltic porter...reminising of my lost Okocim. This one tapped out very dark but had red highlights when held to the light...moch head. Sweet aromas of choclate, spices some geass. Tase profile was glorious...sweet, raisins, licorice, roasty malts..long wet finish...a very decent Baltic but I founf the mouth feel a tad wanting..it was a bit thin for this style.

UPDATED: FEB 13, 2009 Very dark brown, almost black, medium long-lasting creamy off-white head. Burnt toast with a hazelnut cream in a mocha beverage. Faint chocolate, brown sugar and liquorice. All that is very well held together by a rich body and creamy mouthfeel. Spelled Cosaque in french and Kosak in english and that’s unfortunate because I’m french speaking and at the end of a scrabble game I’m always stuck with those damn ‘k’s.

Dark brown appearance with a thin tan head. Expressive nose of dark malt, chocolatey with light coffee and anise notes. Sweet mouth entrance is developping into a slightly smoky dry finish, well roasted and chocolatey. Classic l’amère à boire clean finish. Medium bodied, moderately carbonated. Well made, but a little light and not too complex.
