This is the star of their lineup. A powerful stout that is shrouded nicely in a sea of oatmeally creaminess. Nice complexity and an excellent beer.

3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 muzzlehatch (4425) - Burlington, Vermont, USA - MAR 31, 2003
Carob-chocolate and bits of cherry. Diminishing but noticeable head. Very sweet at first but coffee bitterness emerges eventually. Malted milk chocolate. I wasn't really impressed with this place overall, but this Imperial Stout and the Bock helped keep it from a real loss.
4.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20 radiomgb (2143) - Peterborough, Ontario, CANADA - MAR 2, 2003
Deep black in colour. Flavour of dark chocolate, coffee, rich, creamy, smooth. Finishes with a nice long bitterness. Decadent.
4.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 dhurtubise (568) - Hamilton, Ontario, CANADA - DEC 16, 2002
UPDATED: MAR 11, 2003 Rerate: 03/11/03 Aging has really helped this beer along since I had it 3 months ago. Its flavours have blended nicely and rich fruitiness and roastiness dance together well in a sea of decadent alocoholic stout. The ale fruitiness is much more evident compared to the previous tasting and overall it seems more silky and rich. 12/16/03 It is a good imperial stout, rich in roasted character without dominating the profile outright. The alcohol heat is easily detected. The hop character is rather subdued, letting the malt complexity drive the flavour. Quit pleasant.
4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 SimonPatrice (312) - Montréal, Quebec, CANADA - AUG 26, 2002
Really dark brown with ruby hints, nice mocha head. Chocolate, coffee and molasses is what you get. Strange, I also picked up some green olive notes.
