on tap @ Brewpub. Pours a nice deep golden caramel orange color. Aromas of malt, tea, light citrus hops. Pretty good EPA but they are not at the top of my list. Nice representation of the style. Malty, slight hop bitterness. Nice beer

Cask at L’Amère à Boire. Pours a cloudy dark orange with an average size lasting foamy white head. Mild but pleasant citrus hop aroma with caramel malt, light spices and some fruit. Flavour is just hoppy enough to make me a happy camper. Average to medium bodied. A very enjoyable Pale Ale.

Cask. at LaB. Very cloudy amber pour with an average lasting foamy white head. Leafy, dry perfume/herbal hop aroma, nicely balanced by mildly roasted caramel malt. Terrific taste - simple, refreshing ... dusty floral bitterness, light sweet malt. Soft, light mouthfeel, a whisper of squeaky astringency, a fast delicate quick finish. Really did have a mild tea-like character, man this place makes solid beers.

Cask at the brewpub. Hazy orange-amber with a thin head. Aroma of orange zest, tropical fruit and earl grey tea. Soft mouthfeel. Mellow flavour of sweet caramel balanced by fruity, citric hops, and a herbal tea finish. Not too bad.

Medium creamy white head. Hazy orange-yellow body. Sweetish citric tea aroma. Sweetish citric tea and bergamot taste, kind of thin and watery, with a malty, grainy background. Dryish hoppy character. Spicy and lightly peppery. Dry mealy pea-and-hops aftertaste with a touch of metal. Nice session beer. (0.133l draft.)

On tap at LAmère à Boire. The color is orange lite white head. The arome is sweet citrus. The taste is that of hops and the sweetness of caramel. There is just a nice finish of bitter taste to make it just right.

1.8 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 5/20 hopscotch (8243) - Vero Beach, Florida, USA - MAY 5, 2006
Cask... Cloudy, golden ale with a small, whispy, white head. Great retention. I got absolutely nothing out of the nose... totally nondescript. Maybe a little smoke in there, but that’s probably due more to every patron smoking than the beer itself. Does anyone in Canada not smoke? Perfectly-balanced flavor, but flat and watery. Just a touch of bitterness. Light-bodied with almost no carbonation. Finishes watery and flat. This "real ale" sucks! If you’re going to serve "real ale", serve it from wood and make sure it’s a brew that naturally carbonates... otherwise, I’m not interested.
