Ruby-like color. Very opaque and fruity (raspberry explosion). Not very effervescent and needs some work in the corners (just like the Montreal Canadiens).

Eructoblaster (3024) - Gatineau, Quebec, CANADA - APR 19, 2004
Nice hazy copper body with reddish glints. Modest head. Relatively complex malty nose with hints of raspberry. In the mouth it is not effervescent, but it is sweet, fruity and malty. That beer just behave like the Boston Bruins: it enters with robustness but the final definitely lacks some character...

Lubiere (9999) - Ottawa, Ontario, CANADA - MAR 20, 2004
Golden coloured beer with a thin head. Sweet malty nose with some caramel. Shapor matls, not sweet at all, and good sharp hops, almost dry. Medium bodied. Very honest pale ale.

Rastacouere (6130) - Montreal, Quebec, CANADA - NOV 26, 2003
On tap: Amber hue, off-white small head. Light, but present citrus hoppy aroma. Taste is first malty and sweet with obvious hints at citrus bitterness. Ordinary dry hop finish...

UPDATED: JUN 13, 2009 2009-06-06. Orangey body with a modest off-white head, nice lace. (3+) Flavour has a pleasant hoppiness throughout, but it feels a bit muddled at times, and a bit dilute overall. (6+) Mild aroma, pleasant citrusy melange of hops, mild malt. (6+) Average to light palate is just a touch under carbonated even for a cask. Okay, pleasant but just a touch too dilute. 6/3/6/3/13 - 3.1 On Cask, at the brewpub

October 2003. Amber orange colour. Slight floral and fruity notes in both the aroma and flavour. Bit watery on the mouth, with slight bitterness on the back of the tongue. Ok but unexceptional. 4/3/5/3/11 - 2.6On tap at the brewpub.

(Cask Conditioned) Thin orange body and a thin, white head. Mildly hoppy. Watery hops at first followed by a bitterness. Average.

Amber. Off-white head. Fruity (orange), earthy, caramel aroma. Body on the thin side. Somewhat watery, relatively bland flavour. Some caramelish malts & mildly bitter finish.

Is my taste for hops diminishing on this long sampling night? Perhaps in this, around my 20th of that Saturday night, this is evident. Faint caramel/citrus in the nose, but I don't have much else besides "this is bland."

English pale ale for sure (or the saaz hops from the wonderful pils they brew there had thrown my palate off). It has a nice fruity yeast profile with a bread, malty character. It was served on the hand pump. Overall it was pretty much flawless but quite average for a cask pale ale. It could use more finishing hops.
