Bottle from MJ Rare Beer Club. Fruity aroma - lots of orange with underlying plum, melon, and floral notes. Light peppery and earthy yeast character, gently honey sweetness. Orange-golden color, good clarity, huge pillowy white head. Lightly sweet up front, biscuity malt, mild fruit and floral flavors. Finishes decidedly dry with a subtle spiciness, with just a touch of bitterness lingering on the palate. Medium body with high carbonation, typical for a tripel, noticable alcohol warmth in the chest. I think this is a drinkable but interesting (and underrated) tripel.

Bottle. Fairly typical Belgian Tripel. Fruity,, dry mouth feel. No extra hops to make it blossom.

Bottle 330 ml at home, poured into a tulip glass. ABV 8% Deep golden orange colour on the body, clear, with a tall and thick white head. Very good retention, it leaves heavy lacing on the glass. Aroma is heavy on peaches. sugar, yeast, with some funk character in it. Taste is fruity with peaches and some apricot, sugar, well hidden alcohol, some grape-y notes on the finish, simple but very drinkable. Medium thin body, average carbonation. A good one.

Bue en bouteille de 33cl. Très typée belge triple. L'alcool, grain au goût. Classique sans autre intérêt.

330 ml bottle bought at Belgian Beer International in Tsuen Wan.

Translucent dull amber honey colour with no yeast sediments; Three-quarter finger head and crumpety off-white foam which lasts for 1 minute; Excellent sticky lacing with active carbonation; Very fragrant sweet aroma of malt which can be smelt as soon as it was popped, with strong candied pineapple, banana, vanilla, sugar, light caramel, bubblegum, light phenolic, strong Bel yeast, very light alcohol and light cinnamon; Strong sweet taste of malt, with canned pineapple, sugar, light alcohol, cream soda, light phenolic, strong Bel yeast, spices, light lemon and very light grassy hops; Mid to light body. Slick and fairly creamy palate; Mouth feel is fair maltyness, very sweet and full of candied / canned pineapple with matching boozy touch. Creamy palate as in cream soda. Very strong Bel yeast, light phenolic. Sounds cloying but it isn’t, the canned pineapple actually tastes pretty good... Hoppiness is no nose, and very light lemon and faint grass in taste. Fairly low bitterness for a long sweet-bitter finish; Slightly dry after taste. Very easy and sweet boozy to mouth.

Comments: This one has a very sweet but also pleasing candy pineapple aroma and taste, which I enjoy it as I always believe a good Tripel should have matching sweetness. The malt and hops are thin, and its colour and head retention left a lot to be desired. Still, it’s very good but not great, and recommendable if you love sweet Tripel!

From tap at delirium (while ago). Blond orangy color, white head. Nose: malt, typical belgian yeast, typical Van Den Bossche, nothing surprising here and this goes for the whole beer. Citrus and spices in the back.

Standard Belgian tripel, nice to drink once in a while, but not very interesting.

UPDATED: APR 18, 2014 Blond-golden colour with a frothy white fading head. Noses floral, wet grass and summer field flowers showing hints of ginger and orange zest flavours. Refreshing with a slick light fizzy texture. Well balanced with a light and short to medium lasting light fruity finish.

Light clear amber with rich, fastly disappearing white cap. Mild taste for its strength, bitterness on the tongue tip, yeasty bitterness on the root.
