Boasting a fine balance of malts and noble hops, this traditional German-Style Bock is a mahogany colored flavor bridge to get you through the spring drinking season.

Draft at the source. Preyy reddish amber color, scant head. Aroma of burnt caramel. Taste is malty toast. OK.

Mahogany color with thin head, lovely sweet malts and hops offset. Quite enjoyable, surprised me.

Tap. Pours a clear dark amber body with a one finger fizzy beige head. The nose is sweet and toasty malt with a little earthy huskiness, not much in the way of hops. The flavor is on the sweeter side with caramel and toasted malts, fairly clean lagered, but a little huskiness and graininess on the finish. Medium bodied with fizzy prickly carbonation. A little weak overall, but drinkable enough.

Draft at Craft. Pours copper with 1-finger off-white head that dissipates quickly. Tasted of caramel malt, on the sweet side, with mid-palate hops and a medium complexity and density finish.

NikkTwist (2660) - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - APR 6, 2012
Draft at Tattooed Mom. Poured a murky amber. Whatever head there was disappeared almost entirely. Mild, well blended flavor. Some hop bite, but not a high hop experience. Unexpected sugar sweetness in the finish. Very drinkable but not extraordinary.
