COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Cask; Regular. Also available bottled.
Lancaster Blonde is a uniquely vivid golden bitter. Blonde has been designed to offer a quality cask conditioned ale to drinkers seeking a pale beer with real taste and aromatic impact. This most stylish and contemporary beer is crafted from pale Maris Otter Malt and carefully combined with Germanic style Munich Malt. The slightly citrus and delicate earthy aromas are created by a combination of First Gold and imported Saaz hops. The initial bitterness is followed by a delightful mouth feel culminating with a long dry finish

UPDATED: MAR 14, 2012 500 ml bottle. Finland.
Clear golden colour with tiny white head. Mild floral and fruity hoppy aroma with medium maltiness and some caramel sweetness. Flavour is pretty much the same. Fruity melony sweetness. Quite fizzy. Short bitterish aftertaste. Too much sweetness to be really tasty.

Bottle from Asda Carlisle. Good clean gold in colour, head is poor, a thin island of a few white bubbles in the middle of the glass. Nice nose of citrus fruit and malt. Clean and hoppy initially on the palate with a gentle sweetness lurking in the background, the finish is fairly long and lingering. Overall a good blonde beer, clean tasting and refreshing, which I guess is what the style should be.
