JoeMcPhee (3466), Jackson Heights, New York, USA May 12, 2008 Tap at the brewpub. Very cloudy ugly yellow-brown pour with a fast fading fluffy white head. Aroma is beautiful though. Loaded with fresh banana esters and a faint backdrop of clove and allspice. Nice fresh wheaty spiciness over the top as well. Full-bodied and thick with loads of light banana flavour/clove and bready wheaty character. No flaws, and the rich wheaty malt base really makes this stand out. Well-done. beerbill (1068), Laurel, New York, USA Sep 4, 2007 On tap at Lancaster Brewing. Arrived at our table a cloudy gold with a thin white ring for a head. Lighter aroma than I would have exepcted from a hefe with some light citrus and a bit of wheat noted. Thankfully, the flavor was more definitive with a nice combination of citrus, spice and a bit of banana. An enjoyable summer brew. Cruzan59 (104), Lititz, Pennsylvania, USA Aug 11, 2007 Draft at LBC...pours amber-orange, not as cloudy as I would’ve expected...smell of citrus and clove, bit of ripe banana...taste much of the same with a bit of spice and the clove comes to the front but not overpowering...I would’ve liked to have tried it without the orange wedge but it was quite refreshing none-the-less...great summer season beer...good example from LBC...too bad they don’t bottle this one. alexanderj (1094), Roanoke, Virginia, USA Aug 2, 2007 Tap at the brewpup; very tasty with a good mouthfeel. Cloudy yellow in color. Aroma of banana/bubblegum and spice. Flavor was very similar, and had a somewhat creamy mouthfeel. can8ianben (558), Pasadena, California, USA Jul 2, 2007 Really big and sharp. I’m impressed that they didn’t just do a minor version of a hefe, its big enough in flavor to be proud of. It has a big citrus aroma, good sour banana flavor, a wonderfully full and frothy mouth feel and a cloudy yellow color.
