bag (86), Bethel Park, Pennsylvania, USA Mar 28, 2008 From bottle... poured cloudy, dark gold. Aroma was hoppy but musty. From there, it was all downhill. The flavor was hugely disappointing. I wouldn’t have realized this was an IPA if I did a blind taste test. Palate was sticky and flat. Booooooo.
KornDogg (31), Lancaster, Pennsylvania, USA Oct 9, 2008 I always get this on tap when I stop by the lancaster location... A solid IPA, with a good balance... I would recommend this over any of their other brews... WeeHeavySD (1867), San Diego (Hillcrest), California, USA Sep 28, 2008 12oz pours orange with a tan head. Nose is eh. Tate is sweet and slightly hoppy. A big old eh. afireinside96 (498), Mountville, Pennsylvania, USA Sep 23, 2008 12oz bottle served in a stem glass. Dark amber body topped by minimal foam. Smells of caramel and pineapple. Bland malty flavor with only the slightest twang of citrus. Lasting bitterness though. Come on Lancaster you can do better. Jblauvs (170), Manchester, New Hampshire, USA Sep 16, 2008 coppery pour, dissipating head. malt and very distant hops in the aroma, not a very aromatic beer. some toasted malt in the flavor but very subtle hops. What hops there are are earthy and little grass. Not very bold at all, but not bad either. cbkschubert (1611), Rattlesnake Country, Arizona, USA Sep 14, 2008 12 oz. bottle via trade with machfive55 - Pours a clear copper color with a 3/4 finger thick off white head. Light spotty lacing. Aroma is toasted malt and very light hops. Again, flavor is mostly toasted malt. Medium body. Maybe this is an older bottle, but I’m getting very little hop character from this beer. If I had this beer blind, I’d say it was an amber ale. Still, it tastes OK. Thanks Rich.
