MrChopin (102), Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA May 9, 2008 Amber color, the nose was sweet with the usual IPA citrus. Taste was that of a wheat beer and IPA mix, more sweetness than expected. Also a little thinner than expected. I find it unique but no better than standard.
Beerman6686 (510), Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA Jul 7, 2008 Poured a a pretty clear amber color with an off white head. Aroma is a little citrus hops and some malts. Flavor is also a bit malty for an ipa but has a nice bitter finish. studson38 (4), , Virginia, USA does not count Jul 7, 2008 I experienced this beer as I do most others, straight from the bottle. With that in mind, I can’t say a whole lot about the appearance, however I can’t say much for the taste either. I’m not particularly fond of the IPA style so my opinion should not be held in high regard. I found this beer to be just average with the typical bitter and rubbery aftertaste I so often experience with IPAs. The 8% alcohol content didn’t hurt but I still found myself rushing to finish this one. Biddle_Brau (75), Midland Park, New Jersey, USA Jul 2, 2008 Light amber color with slightly off-white head that left nice lacing. Mild citrus and malty aroma. Hop and malt balance did not impress me as balanced but more ‘muddy.’ On tap at The Shep’. gpekar (115), USA Jun 17, 2008 Poured a clear dark copper with lots of carbonation bubbles rising throughout the glass. There was a thin light tan head. A nice hoppy aroma with hints of citrus. An initial crisp hoppy bite with a little sweetness and a very mild rolling bite of bitterness on the finish. A mild flavor of citrus and a touch of maltyness in the flavor. It was very good and refreshing with a very easy dry finish like a good English ale. keepersj12 (371), Sicklerville, New Jersey, USA Jun 14, 2008 Updated: Jun 15, 2008Very nicely balanced. Maybe not as hoppy as some others but still has a hop bit to counter the sweet malts. Reminds me a little of Dogfish Head’s 60 minute.
