muzzlehatch (4405), Richmond, Vermont, USA May 14, 2004 Sample at the brewpub. Light, bright ruddy orange, good lacing; citrusy, slightly nutty aroma...ringwood..more bitter than usual, not enough heft, ehhhh. axilla (937), New Providence, Pennsylvania, USA Jan 24, 2004 Updated: Feb 24, 2005clear, copper-reddish color with a smooth light head that was slow to depart. Just a bit hoppy for a brown ale but that didn’t bother me at all. JF_GRIND (1188), Mayfair, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA Jul 16, 2003 Average, drinkable brown ale perfect for consuming in the warm weather months. freekyp (782), Ocean Township, New Jersey, USA May 4, 2003 Light breadiness throughout. A bit watery. Lingering strong bitterness in swallow. Overly hoppy for a brown. Nate (2093), Indiana, Pennsylvania, USA Jul 29, 2002 Slightly weak malty aroma with a hint of hops. Clear copper brown, with very little head. Light smooth carb in a medium-light body. Very hopped and bitter, almost like an IPA. Good nutty after. Very enjoyable beer, though I though a bit too bitter for the style.
