Our  NEW German style Kolsch pays homage to the traditional beer of Cologne. It pours a pale straw color and delievers floral hop notes and smooth malt character from extended cold aging, crisp, flavorful and refreshing, our German Style Kolsch is the perfect summer craft beer.

Nonic at brewpub, golden color with not much foam, aroma I’d fruity and sweet, flavor is sweet fruit also with mild hop, clean finish

Can at home not sure why I grabbed this I got over whelmed at store and just blindly picked things. Pours light yellow. Nose is light citrus and grains. Tastes of lemons, some grass, hint of toffee. Slightly metallic after taste. Pleasant enough but boring.

Can, bought at the brewery. Hazy golden color, off-white head. Crisp with a light sweetness and some noticeable hop in the finish. It’s a good refreshing summer brew; I drank the other 5 cans in the sixer back when it was warm but never got around to reviewing it. I liked it a little better than the brewery’s Rumspringa bock.

UPDATED: OCT 7, 2014 Hazy straw color with off white head. Citrus flavors, lemon, orange, hints of grains. Citrus tart (just a bit) and floral hop in finish. I would recommend this one to someone looking for something crisp and refreshing.

Transfer from BA review on 12-11-13- Served on tap in a pint glass Appearance – The beer is served a light golden color with a one finger of pure white head. The head has a decent level of retention, fading over time to leave some foamy lace on the sides of the glass. Smell – The smell is very light overall with just some hints of a biscuit nature as well as a little bit of a grassy and citrus smell. Taste – The taste begins with a biscuit and slightly grainy taste mixed with some lemon citrus flavors. As the taste advances it gains a bit more graininess with the lemon getting a bit stronger as well. Some lighter hop flavors of a grassy and floral nature as well as a decent amount of grapefruit show up mid taste, bittering the flavor a bit A light tangerine sweetness joins the lemon and malty flavor at the end, leaving a slightly grainy and more sour/bitter citrus flavor to linger on the tongue. Mouthfeel- The body of the beer is on the thinner side in terms of thickness and creaminess with a carbonation level that is on the higher side. Both are quite appropriate for the style and match well the citrus and grainy flavors of the brew, making for a more refreshing drink overall. Overall – A rather decent kolsh, that is fairly refreshing and crisp, but that is nothing super out of the ordinary.

Where and how: can 355 ml TW
Aroma soft, tad soapy aroma, straight citrus, lacking Noble Hop feel. Decent.
Appearance :
Top: large froth white top
Base: slightly hazy amber-gold. Too dark for traditional Kolsch.
Palate : nice soft body, lower carbonation than average Kolsch.
Taste: nice malt job, bit of wheat softness? Herbal hops around .
Other notes nice brew but perhaps one step to far to be called Kolsch.

Can. Pours a clear light gold body under a small fizzy white head that faded to a thin ring. The nose is just lightly fruity with bready malt and a minimal floral hoppiness. The flavor is pretty light, mostly bready malt, pretty light hops, short finish, a little corn perhaps? Light bodied with soft fizzy carbonation. Meh, it’s not the best Kolsch, but it’s drinkable.
