COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
We are proud offer one of the few surviving examples of this traditional English style sweet stout. A bold, dark ale bursting with roasted barley dryness and mellowed by hints of chocolate and coffee.

Bottle into a goblet. Pour is a nice black with a fine head with a lace edge. Aroma is that of chocolate and roasted malt. Taste is a very smooth lite mellow malt. Finish is again smooth with a nice warmth. Very good stout.

12 Fl. Oz. Bottle from Dover Liquor Depot "Craft Beer Fest." Tasting. Poured black with a tan off head. Great coffee and malts aroma mixed with some hops. Taste is a smooth well balanced combination of malts and hops, coffee sweet, a slight bitter finish. Very drinkable and very enjoyable, this is in my opinion a very good beer.

This is the milk stout that made me fall in love with milk stouts. So creamy, so thick, so sweet, so fantastic.

Pours jet black. Slight brownish head. Aroma of roasted coffee. Not too thrilled by this. It is a bit creamy but I feel like the lactose just adds a watered down flavor to it. Stout flavor is a bit off. Mehh

Bottle. Not much head. Dark. Nice mild stout. A touch of sweetness but not overpowering. Subtle chocolate. I would buy again. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

12oz bottle in a shaker. Pours very dark brown with a light tan head. Aroma of roasted and sweet malts, a little lactose and coffee, and light hops. Flavor the same, a little light on everything. Not a bad beer, but not exceptional.

Draft at Johnny Brendas. Pours black with thin beige head. Nose of roasted malts, coffee, chocolate and lactose. Average mouthfeel with a sweet chocolate milk taste and a dry roasty finish. I recall disliking this out of the bottle years ago. Don’t know if the recipe changed but it was tasting pretty solid for a milk stout.

Bottle poured a dark brown bordering on black with a little ring of off white head. Aroma has light malt, some coffee, and a hint of lactose.mouth feel is on the light side for the style and the carbonation is medium. Flavor brings in a bit more malt, black coffee, very light on the lactose, some minerals, and it finishes without much going on. Where’s the lactose?

Pours black with a light brown, one finger head that quickly is gone. Not much lacing. Nose is a faint smell of cocoa/hot chocolate - not very pronounced. I did not find this heavy at all, but rather a fairly light stout, with some burnt malt and bitter chocolate notes, with some sweetness. Enjoyable. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
