Pitch black in the glass with a small brown head. Smells like dark chocolate and coffee. Feels full in my mouth, no overhwelming flavor. Everything is nicely balanced. Coffee notes in the finish are very nice. Deep, but also a very refreshing beer. Slight soy notes. Wonderful for any time.

Rated from old notes. Very black, minimal head retention. Somewhat light bodied for a stout. Milky aftertaste reflects addition of lactose. Good drink overall.

Bottle from Total Wine, Sterling VA. Dark brown with next to no head. Sweetish throughout, with some prune and touch of chocolate. Solid, if unexciting, drinking.

Poured from a 12 OZ bottle into a pint glass. The appearance is use motor oil black, very cool. The head is a very dark tan head. The aroma is full of malt and matches the appearance perfectly. The flavor is creamy roasted malt, a fantastic flavor. Overall, an outstanding beer.

Tastes like chocolate milk, hint coffee and a slight burnt flavor as well. Smooth as a baby’s ass. Very good.

Always love Lancaster Milk Stout - Actually the reason I visited the brew pub. It was amazing as usual and yes, I did take two growlers home with me. FYI the draft tastes better than the bottle

Pours a jet black color and holds a nice creamy head. There is some head retention, but it fades pretty quickly. Smells like roasted malt and burnt chocolate. Tastes like coffee and cocoa, with a bit of a nutty finish. A pretty solid stout here.

The smell is milk chocolate, the look is a thin very light brown head and dark body, the taste is bitter coffee and bitter chocolate, not what I was looking for. Almost no sweetness. Very disappointing taste.

From a bottle shared at home. Pours black with a tan head. Aroma of milk chocolate. Flavors of cocoa and some coffee notes. Smooth roast finish.

12 oz. bottle poured at my brothers in Methuen, MA. Pours black with a tan head that dies quickly. At first sniff I thought I smelled manure (barnyard?) but after all I could discern was coffee. Little carbonation and a nice coffee finish. This is a very drinkable beer.
