DandyWolfFloyd (231), Jim Thorpe, Pennsylvania, USA Mar 14, 2008 Updated: Apr 6, 2008 Beautiful. This was a marvelous stout. It has a subtle, but sweet aroma with hints of a roasty coffee. It’s appearance is chocolate in color, brown for sure. It’s flavor is decadent with a creamy, malty, coffee like majesty, not to mention some chocalate in there too. It’s also suprisingly smooth! Overall, this is a rare gem. I’d gladly have another, and another, and another
joshwilfong (518), Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA Aug 22, 2008 black with mild white head. flavor has mild roasted and chocolate malt with the moutfeel and subtle sweetness of the cream being the overriding component. not bad Damico (50), Norristown, Pennsylvania, USA Aug 8, 2008 Wow, there was a lot of flavor going on here! It had a nice creaminess after tasting that thick stout flavor. It was not pure like a regular stout because it has that lactose included. It had a nice dark color like black coffee, but a bit of thickness to it. Ughsmash (2996), Waukesha, Wisconsin, USA Aug 7, 2008 Bottled. Poured clear, deep brown with a dusting and a ring of deep tan head sticking around. The aroma picked up a great blend of sweeter milk chocolates with toasty caramel.. sweet and enticing. The flavor was several steps downhill and seemingly past its prime.. sour lactose all over the place with milk chocolate, carmamel, and some nutty notes.. finished sour with drier semi-sweet chocolate. Medium-bodied and too sour on the palate.. drier.. didn’t hold up very well (and it’s not too old). Jatwolf (2), , Pennsylvania, USA does not count Aug 5, 2008 If you enjoy the full flavor of the Guinness Then you must try this out. It is very close to a Guinness without the bite that is has in the end. BeerGestapo (319), Windsor, Pennsylvania, USA Aug 2, 2008 (USA) Pours black with a sm white head. The aroma is of chololate and burnt malts. There is a roasted / smoky malt taste with some chocolate, and coffee notes. The mouthfeel is creamy, but finishes with a slightly dry palate. This is a very pleasant stout from my home turf, good old amish country !!!! lol
