jjpm74 (3155), Stratford, CT 06614, Connecticut, USA Oct 5, 2008 Bottle courtesy of sloth. Pours copper with a thin white head. Smells of light spice and caramel. Tastes sweet and caramelly with a touch of roses, some earthy hints and a spicy finish. willblake (1942), Long Branch, New Jersey, USA Oct 2, 2008 20081002 12oz bottle, Spirits RB. Basic copper color with creamy beige head that lingers. Aroma is full of diacetyl, some earthy hops. Nice eff, medium bodied. Pretty sweet, none of the spicy bite I’d hope for from either a lager or a marzen. Sub par. gpekar (131), Sykesville, Md, Alabama, USA Sep 22, 2008 Poured a clear copper amber color with light carbonation bubbles in the glass. There was a thin light tan head. There was a lightly sweet caramel malt aroma. The flavor was also on the mild side, a bit of a sweet caramel taste with a slightly dry finish like an English ale. branspra (53), Arlington, Virginia, USA Sep 6, 2008 Bottle. Very flat beer and honestly a big disappointing as Lancaster typically produces some good beers. Spare head and amber color with hints of grain and hay. Had a touch of leaves and some strong raisin and maple syrup. Flat taste with light body. Chipper (68), Red Lion, Pennsylvania, USA Aug 28, 2008 Draft at Lancaster Brewing. A light amber color with minimal white head. A little sweet aroma, with a little citrus and malt. Flavor was crisp and balanced with a slight hop finish.
