CaptainCougar (4601), Rockville, Maryland, USA May 11, 2008 Pours a transparent orange amber with a spotty-lacing white head. Aroma of toasty grainy caramel malt and a touch of noble hops. Body starts with a decent authentic caramely malty sweetness and effervescent carbonation before a bittersweet, drier, peppery finish. Pretty true to style and drinkable.

shp555 (1360), lilburn, Georgia, USA May 11, 2008 Pours a copper color with a white head. Aroma is caramel, apple, and roast. Flavor is caramel, apple, roast, and a bitter spicy finish. Goodgrief (997), Middletown, Delaware, USA Mar 23, 2008 Oct. 2007 - Clear chestnut color with quickly dissipating head. Toasty aroma. Flavor was toasty and sweet caramel, a bit too sweet, actually. Smooth mouthfeel was the best part of this one." Cruzan59 (122), Lititz, Pennsylvania, USA Dec 23, 2007 6-pack from the brewery...bottle pours amber in color with an off-white head...smell is mild, floral but sweet, malty...taste of malt, mild spice, caramel, light hops...kind of a cross between their Amish 4 Grain and Hop Hog.
