3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
Not nearly as good as the Amish four grain - but comparable. Bready, but w/ the citrus flavored hops. Still, much better than most American pale ales

Sampled on draft this beer poured a very dark amber color with a large creamy yellow-tan head that lingered and left great lacing. The aroma was tangy and sweet grapefruit and lemon. The flavor was tangy and sweet with moderate grapefruit and lemon and a bready undertone. Medium length finish of grapefruit and lemon. Medium body. A bit subdued but pleasant.

2.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 7/20
Bottle. Pours a clear copper body with a small one finger fizzy white head that fell to a thin wispy covering. The nose is a bit off for the style as far as my preferences go. There’s way too much crystal malt sweetness coming thru, covering up much of the hoppiness. What little hops do make themselves known, are just lightly floral with a touch of orange like citrus. The flavor doesn’t really do it for me either. Way too sweet with barely any perceptible bitterness. A light touch of tropical fruit from the hops on the back end. I generally don’t care for sweet versions of APA or IPAs. Light to medium bodied with fizzy carbonation. Lingering sweet finish. A very poorly designed beer.
