Decent strong/best bitter. Predominant malt, a sweet touch of caramel then a drawn out bitter finish, with a fruity grape note.

Cask @ The JDW Grayhound Bridport . A good soulful red ale and chugged it fast as it was Friday ....Biscuty bready malts , notes of caramel , roast, licorice . It has a rich potent character that makes it hard to put the glass down.

Cask, probably in a Spoons. Eponymous with a well-retained vanilla foam. Nose chestnut, lactic hints, dates, a dosing of fine choc. Mellow, malt-driven, lightly nutty, creamy and roasted. Hops for bitterness only. Solid brew from solid brewery.

Cask at the Sun. Lancaster. Reddish copper/brown with a sizeable off-white head. Malt aroma with a hint if berry. Straightforward bitter taste with an assertion of sweetness from the heavy malt. Ok, but I wish it was more exciting.
