COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Here’s the latest buzz.... Our new Rumspringa Golden Ale. Big, smoothly malted, flawlessly hopped and spiked with real Lancaster County honey for that extra sting.

Canned. Cool name. A mild beer with notes of citrus fruit, hop and honey. Not too much going on.

12oz can. Crystal clear apple juice body topped by small off-white head. Aroma is medium sweet, bread, some hay, light honey. Taste is moderately sweet, bread, honey, some straw/grass, light alcohol. Light-medium body, light effervescence.

nice can of beer with a real bock malt style character. interesting golden color and the honey comes thru in a good way with the citrus and pine hops. the mix a little caustic in the mouthfeel but full enough without being over the top, traditional enough and twisted good.

Can. Much like a full flavored domestic macro with some sweetness from the honey, which is a nice touch but can't save it. Another disappointment from Lancaster.

Clear golden coloured body with a bit of a peach glow and a thinnish, one centimetre tall white head. Aroma of pale malt, lemons, metal and a hint of light grassiness. Medium-bodied; Assertive alcohol flavour with a pungent bite of earth, apricots and a lot of metallic notes with an offputting alcohol warmth. Aftertaste shows a bit too much body for the style and for any lighter beer, a lot of deep robust flavours that aren’t good (metal, alcohol, etc) and a deep finish. Overall, not such a great beer - and easily worth passing over - too strong and pungent for the style and in general. I sampled this 12 ounce can purchased from Total Wine in McLean, Virginia on 02-April-2013 for US$1.49 sampled at home in Washington on 15-April-2013.

Pours transparent gold with a thin white head. The aroma is bland with a little bit of subtle sweetness. The flavor is a little off for me. The balance doesn’t seem to be quite right. The initial malt taste quickly fades into a strange bitterness in the finish. It’s not really hoppy though - possibly the honey causing the strangeness? Just ok.

Pours clear golden with a white head. Aroma has light honey and sweetness atop notes of straw and grass. Flavor is heavier on the grass...light spicy/grassy bitterness with some mild honey and a hint of a fruity/candy sugary note. Mouthfeel is medium and a tad syrupy with a grassy/spicy dry finish.

Canned on January 28, 2013.
Appearance: The body is clear with an amber hue, leaning a little dark perhaps copper. The head is dense and neat rising quickly on the pour but settling into a dense coating with good retention.
Aroma: The aroma is hard to discern, a touch of honey sweetness and a floral hop aroma. This smells nice, but a bit weak with no aroma really standing out.
Taste: The flavor leans sweet with honey, sweet malts and a touch of floral hops. On the finish a sweet honey and "beer" taste come in a quick burst.
Palate: Medium bodied, juice like, with slightly sharp carbonation in low amounts.
Overall: For the price this is an excellent beer. There’s something about this I really like and will consider buying a 6 pack in the warmer days.

From a can poured a golden color with a small amount of head. Light malty flavor with a quick finish.
