We brew our delicious Shoo-Fly Pie Porter with eight grains, four hops and pure Lancaster County molasses, for an amazing deep dark color, toasty malt flavor and balanced hop character. Subtle notes of molasses and vanilla bean bring to mind Pennsylvania Dutch Shoofly Pie. ABV: 6.2% OG: 15.2 IBU: 25

Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a very dark brown color with orange highlights and a large foamy orange-tan head that lingered and left decent lacing. The aroma was sweet and toasty with vanilla, molasses and nut notes. The flavor was sweet with toffee, molasses, nut and vanilla. Long finish. medium body. Solid.

Poured a darker brown with an off white head. Aroma was vanilla, chocolate. Flavor similar, a bit too much vanilla for me, but a bit under ate and hated on because of the brewer.

Aroma - has some marshmallow and roast Appearance - dark brown body with an off-white head that settles out to a 1/4" head. Taste - is a nice bit of roast, a little nice dark sugar - possibly rich molasses, and some vanilla Palate - not overly thick, a bit of fizz, and some lasting roast. Nice little beer ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

It is what it says. Sugary and sweet with Brown sugars and molasses. Deep black color, but transparent. Light chocolate aroma. Barley and a bit of hops, but the caramel is what makes it. Tap

Pours dark brown with a medium tan head. Aroma has roasty malts and a touch of molasses. Flavor follows suit and adds some mild vanilla...one dimensional but decent. Mouthfeel is light yet creamy with a slightly roasty finish.

On tap at Brunzies. Chocolate, coffee, mocha, and lactose in the nose. Dark black opaque with creamy-silky tan head. Medium body with light carbonation. Nice malt-sweet start with lactose and chocolate. Coffee, cafe au lair. Smooth with light sweet finish and nutty sweet after. Minimal bitterness.
