Pours dark brown with a medium tan head. Aroma has roasty malts and a touch of molasses. Flavor follows suit and adds some mild vanilla...one dimensional but decent. Mouthfeel is light yet creamy with a slightly roasty finish.

On tap at Brunzies. Chocolate, coffee, mocha, and lactose in the nose. Dark black opaque with creamy-silky tan head. Medium body with light carbonation. Nice malt-sweet start with lactose and chocolate. Coffee, cafe au lair. Smooth with light sweet finish and nutty sweet after. Minimal bitterness.

Appearance- Clear cola brown with a thick fizzy tan head, average lasting and lace. Aroma- Nothing much to put here, hardly any aroma at all. Flavor- Sweet, roasted malts, silky, not getting much hops or molasses at all. Rather plain.

Big bottle split with brother and father. Aroma is vanilla bean, some molasses, dark fruits, and dark chocolate. Pours dark brown and thin with a small wispy white head. Taste follows suit with dark fruits, mince meat, vanilla, and chocolate. Very thin mouthfeel is a little distracting but I definitely enjoyed the flavor profile. Nice.

Bomber. Nose is roasty porter with very faint chocolate and a touch more coffee, nice woody/bitter hops to round out. Pours dark brown with ruby hues and a dense tan head. Taste sweet with strong vanilla and some other spicing, light earth with average malt and faint fruit. Chocolate and coffee are way backed off; the vanilla is the keystone ingredient here. Fullish body and somewhat enjoyable.

Location: Draft at Hopsscotch, 1/17/14

Aroma: The nose is chocolate malts, roast, toast, molasses, and a little smoke
Appearance: It pours a dark brown color with a light brown head and a small ring of head
Flavor: The flavor is sweet and roasty, brown sugar, molasses, roast, and a little smoke
Palate: The body is medium, it has a somewhat creamy feel, and a medium dry finish
Overall Impression: I thought that this one was a pretty tasty porter. Pretty nice stuff, though there are some flaws present for sure, I enjoyed it.
