4.5 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 19/20 Gorosaurus (15) - USA - OCT 5, 2009
The ’subtle’ suggestion that the description mentions is actually pretty far from the mark. The aroma itself is very strongly strawberry influenced, and the flavor is so thick with it that you will find yourself trying to sift the seeds through your teeth (there are none, of course)!
It is a fairly light beverage as a whole, but that works to its advantage. This is a brew that will appeal to non-beer-drinkers and brewheads alike. It is not TOO intensely fruity to turn off the beer snobs, and it is so refreshly different from any other brews that newbies are bound to love it.
I speak from experience. The Strawberry Wheat is the first beer I ever truly enjoyed, and opened my eyes to the entire world of craft brewing. That’s not to say that it is the finest brew ever constructed, but it does what it does darn well.
I don’t think this is a beer to win competitions. Just a beer to win new people.
1.7 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 5/20 SanfordBrewer (1261) - Sanford, Florida, USA - MAY 22, 2012
translucent copper with a thin but dense and creamy beige head. light body with high carbonation.
aroma: corn, strawberry cereal, and musty notes.
taste: adjunct lager with a strong dms note (tastes like water used to boil sweet corn), sweet pilsner malt, clean subtle hop bitterness, and a faint strawberry note if you’re looking for it.
i don’t see or smell or taste any evidence of wheat in this beer. thankfully, the strawberry flavoring is rather subtle, not overdone like most other strawberry flavored beers i’ve tried.
2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 radio_nowhere (75) - Maryland, USA - MAY 10, 2012
Came in a barn shaped case. Pours a slightly reddish golden color, thin white off-color head. Aroma of candy strawberry and grain. Taste is mostly the same. Not my thing, I’ve heard mixing this with their milk stout is pretty good. Never tried it.

Took a sip from my fiances beer from bottle. The hint of strawberry syrup comes through only slightly in the aroma and taste, and not much else going on except slight grain malt. Light, taste like a normal lager mostly.
3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 jsmerig (544) - Pennsylvania, USA - MAR 25, 2012
Pours a golden amber with a slight tinge of red. Slightly fruity nose. Taste is crisp with a good balance and overtones of strawberry that are not overbearing.

Bottle. MBA list. Ruby pour with tan head. Fruit and wheat and light spice tones. Eh I prefer other fruited wheat beers.

Aroma is that of freeze-dried strawberries. Deep golden in color. A bit of an artificial, though likable flavor...the strawberry lingers long after.

Light and thin, the fruity flavor of strawberry and perhaps vanilla, citrus, and cream. Very smooth, not very beer-like. Would be a good one to have at a summer picnic for non-beer folks.

Just not my type. Aroma, too much strawberry. Appearance.... Most beer looks good and appetizing to me. I am not a fan of this at all..... or most fruit beers. Was like a low end beer and then the took a light strawberry syrup and dumped it in. BLAH! Just not my type --- Other beers from here are exceptional and underrated. (Hog and Amish)

On tap at brewery, by itself not a bad beer. Amber in color, small white head. Aroma of strawberries/fruit, taste of wheat with hints of strawberries. I usually don’t enjoy this beer by itself, but I do love mixing it with their milk stout. This is an excellent mix!!
