A chestnut coloured bitter, with a smooth palate and a fresh hoppy aroma, Brewed with the most choice malts and hops for the long summer evening.

Cask conditioned - handpump - Wig and Pen Northampton. More golden in colour if you ask me, not the chestnut the comm description suggests. Has an off-white head and lacing. The aroma is fairly hoppy but very much an English bitter. A nice balance of malt and hops in the taste. Well balanced and nicely drinkable.
