3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 evr1dr (145) - Virginia, USA - NOV 11, 2010
Pours dark with thin tan head. Nose of malt, wood, and plum. Taste is a little thin even by Old Ale standards. The 9%ABV is very well masked. Not much complexity here; just a very drinkable brew.

5 oz glass from a flight. Pour is dirty amber, close to brown, with a small amount of off-white head. Nose is molasses, malt, an astringent cough syrupy odor, and dark fruit. Taste is a dirty malty thing (similar to a scotch ale), a bit of cough syrup, and a molasses/dark fruit thing the rolls into the finish. This is a decent brew from LBC, this being my second season drinking it.

UPDATED: NOV 15, 2010 5oz glass from a flight.Pour was dark amber with one finger of light tan head as well as a nice laceing.Nose was sweet malts and light caramel.Taste was dates, malts and light hops this brew hides the ABV very well one of my favorites from this brewer
3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20 Listigovers (237) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - FEB 25, 2010
On tap. Murky brown colour with no real head. Not a very strong aroma, pleasant bit of spiciness with maltiness. Strongly malty flavour, slight bitterness, full bodied and fairly thick. Very satisfying. When I drank it, I had no indication of the alcohol content. I had assumed around 6%, I was apparently very wrong.
3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 Holdwine (1016) - Beertimore, Maryland, USA - FEB 10, 2010
From a bottle. Nice enough nose- dark fruit and toasty notes. Slight oiliness and too much of the "warming alcohol flavor" Sure it fits the category, but I would have preferred a little more complexity in this Old Ale. Unfortunately, I think that is one thing lacking at Lancaster.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 BernieLomax (19) - Pottstown, Pennsylvania, USA - DEC 31, 2009
Had a pint at the Harrisburg location. Color was a dark ruby with foamy amber head. The beer was a solid winter warmer which produced a seasonal taste but lacked a dominate flavor to latch on to. It was not as complex as other winter warmers I have had, but is descent none the less. If you interested in trying a winter warmer this is not a bad place to start.
3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 kramer (3461) - Sunbury, Pennsylvania, USA - DEC 31, 2009
On tap, Harrisburg location. Pours a clear bright ruby body with a small fizzy off-white head that fell to a thin film. Thick sweet malt nose with dark fruits and some burnt caramel. Light licorice note. The flavor is sweet dark caramel with a bit of cherry fruitiness and a little graininess and a husky note on the finish. A little sticky and clingy on the palate up front with fizzy prickly carbonation. A little coarse on the finish. Not bad, but it could be a bit smoother.
3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 yinzerbeernut (180) - Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA - DEC 27, 2009
Pours dark brown with a tan head that disappeared. Scents of maple syrup and pine make up the aroma. This is medium bodied ale balanced with plenty of malt and tastes of yeast that finishes with a faint presence of hops.
4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 BvilleBronc (85) - Biglerville, Pennsylvania, USA - DEC 26, 2009
Bottle pour. Sweet aroma with just atouch of hops. Pours very dark with a nice head that quickly dissapates. Great balance of malt and hops starting sweet and creamy and finishing off bitter and crisp. Very smooth for a 9% ABV. Very enjoyable and a definite warmer.
