3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
12 oz bottle. Poured a dark copper color. Aroma is malty, roasted malts, caramel, touch of dried fruits. Flavor was toffee, caramel, roasted malts. Beer was quite easy t o consume, shocked by the alcohol content after consuming it. No wonder why I went to bed almost immediately afterward.

3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
12 oz bottle from trade with Ty5592. Pour is layered with amber and a dark murky brown. Little tan head that is not retained. Nose is very sweet-honey and toasted malts stand out with a little fruity something in there. Flavor is sweet, chewy malts with a strong yeast presence and a side of water. Blah. Can taste a little alcohol in the finish. Balance could be improved upon. What is beefy yeast?

Bottle from Cornboy, Thanks; mose is sweet, dark fruit and caramel; clear cherry brown with a small beige head; flavor of caramel malt, a mocha hint, and a hop note in the medium body. The finish is minor hops bitterness and some alcohol.

2.1 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 8/20
No obtruse initial odor. Shadowy rootbeer appearance. Rather flat. Taste engenders alt at first but builds an alky knot and woody seasoned spices. Smooth but that alky keeps peeking out. Each slug has a coating syrup back of throat effect. Not quite as good as Breckenridge Autumn Ale.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Poured a cloudy dark brown color with an off white head. Aroma is of a lot of spices, probably cinnamon, some nuts, cloves, just very nice. Flavor was also very spicy, seems more like spice/herb/vegetable than old ale but very good at that.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
12 oz bottle of the worst Old Ale I have ever had. Poured a deep dark brown with a smaller tight foamy beige head. Aroma was dirt, old dark fruit, old vanilla extract and old dough. Full creamy body with soft to average carbonation and a lingering milky mouthfeel with a slight touch of alcohol heat on the end. Flavor of alcohol, slight vanilla extract, old dark fruit and uncooked dough. Well with all the "old" flavors and aromas in this one now I know how this one is considered an old ale.

2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Light chocolate toffee aroma with licorice, Tootsie Roll. Mild fruity hops and some metallic tang. Carbonic gaseousness that mars notes of ginger and clove. Dark brown clear with thin foamy off-white, tannish lacing head. Medium bodied, watery, with medium carbonation and carbonic tingle. Starts with roasted maltiness that imparts a bit of sweetness. That’s quickly overcome by subtle spicy dryness that gets drier and more bitter. Ginger and clove, mild fudge. Dusty hops and muted graininess. Light watery finish with decent bitterness. Not as flavorful and spicy as I’d hoped, but they make a decent stab at it.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
A nice beer, pretty strong, and some of the ABV comes with a bit of an alcohol burn. Nice balanced flavor that leaned toward the malty side. A pretty solid brew.
