A fine wheat beer not much body, but a good spicy flavour (curacao and coriander)

UPDATED: SEP 13, 2007 Bottled. Creamy and adherent head, good resistance. Shining yellow color, not a lot hazy and rather dark for a Witbier, but with a good and persistent fizz. Fresh scent, much flowery with acidulous must notes, malty and flowers buckets. Balanced taste with alternation of sweetish and bitterish flavors. Light bodied and good herbal character.

Originally rated July 2005. Second beer out of eight brought back by my girlfriend, from Europe. Sampled from their 330ml brown bottle, written "bière de froment" on the silver label. This witbier pours a light golden-beige colour with a fat white head. The retention is very long and the lacing is so-so. The aroma is very nice and smooth with different spices and the ususal witbier scent. Nothing offensive. The taste is the same, mixed in with a slight bitter finish, but yet very smooth. Quite light, but very refreshing. A French witbier that is above-average.

St. Barth Beer No. 8. Drank on the flavor enhancing sands of Saline Beach. Poured a hazy white/tan. Scent was citrusy. Taste was nice blend of citrus and earth. Thoroughly enjoyable. Bottle - Marche U - St. Barthelemy, FWI

Great citrus taste. Flowery aroma. Beautiful color and head. Really pleasant, one of my favorite White beer.

Bottle conditioned, from Beer Cellar in Lincoln. Hazy lemon gold, good fluffy white lasting head and gentle condition. Nice spicy corriander and lemon nose, some gentle yeast notes and a hint of fruity tartness. Pleasant sweet spicy corriander and gentle citric notes in the mouth, gentle lingering yeast and spice in the finish.

Lemon aroma. Fruity malt, pineapple, coriander, creamy finish. Nice crispy brew, perfect match with a few crepes :)

I’m afraid that my notes aren’t so good for this one - but I remember it being spicy, assertive, somewhat dry for the style, with a good herbal character.

Bottled. A cloudy urine coloured beer with an initial white fluffy head. The aroma is lemony, spicy and wheaty. The taste is quite perfumed and medicinal with lemons, ornages and spices. A nice witbier.
