from le Village de la Bière, Strasbourg - hazy reddish-amber colour under a giant and foamy beige head; oily nose of chestnut, vinegar and undefined spices; very creamy palate, medium-bodied and with some sourness; the finish is smooth with lingering notes of chestnut - interesting

330ml bottle. Herbal aromas. Pours amber, with some white head, vanishing. No lacing. Taste is sweet, nuts, herbs, slightly bitter. Average dry finish.

Bottled, thanks fiulijn! Hazy brownish amber, small head. Fruity nose with dust and caramel. Sweetish with light body and rounded mouthfeel. Ripe autumn apples. Low bitterness. Somewhat anonymous.

bottle from Village de la Bière. Cloudy brownish golden colour, large off-white head. Malty base, very slightly hoppy, very slightly fruity perhaps due to the yeast, powdery chestnut flavours detectable, very shy in the far background. A very nice beer.

Bottle, 033. Cloudy golden color. Vegetables aroma, and dirty water. The flavor goes on the same line, finishing quite bitter.

Hazy medium amber orange color with a average, fizzy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, nutty, chestnut, caramel, vegetable, moderate yeasty, wood, leather. Flavor is moderate sweet and light to moderate bitter with a average duration, dry and dusty. Body is medium to light, texture is watery to oily, carbonation is soft. [20091130]

Cloudy golden color. Smelly vegetables aroma, and dirty water. The flavor goes on the same line, finishing quite bitter. Poor.

Hazy orange with a medium white head. Malty aroma with spices and vegs. Flavour had cooked vegs, nuts and malty notes.

33 cL bottle. Pours hazy dark orange with a small and creamy off white head. Aroma is roasted malty and slight caramelish. Roasted malty and light caramelish to nutty flavoured. Sweet and roasted flavoured finish.

Bottled. An unclear amber beer with a lazing orangey head. The aroma has notes of malt, minerals, and fruits. The flavor is sweet with notes of walnuts, fruits, yeast, malt, and some caramel, leading to a crazy spicy walnut finish.
