This is the new version of the old Duchesse Anne 6°.

On tap at Dock, Paris. A fruity smooth and easily drinkable triple. Nose of pear and slight butter, big triple taste without the alcohol and a greater perceived bitterness than expected. Appearance quite dull, with a quickly fading head. Would order again.

J’adore !

33cl courtesy of jaghana bb06/2016 - sampled in the wake of Biere mit Stil 1: Worldwide Tripel Tasting@Bierhandlung Freiburg JAN2016. - Sweet and chalky cereals, grain husks. Flavour sees more grain husk bitterness, wheaty foam, an all too quenching dryness framing the less than inspiring grain sweetness in an empty je-ne-sais-quoi. Manages not to fume on its breath, but not to enthuse.
