Bottle. Impressive head, light brown beer. Quite strong fermented fruit aroma but soon dies, the flavour is quite gentle but quite dry and fairly bitter with dark fruits. Overall a reasonable French effort at a Belgian beer.

Bottled. A hazy blonde coloured beer which did gush on opening. The aroma is spicy and peppery. The taste is also spicy and peppery with a long spicy, but slightly sweet finish. A very well brewed example of this style and possibly one of the best French beers I’ve had.

UPDATED: SEP 18, 2005 Pours a hazy golden yellow. Sweet beer that reminds of Duvel, just sweeter. Nice and creamy. Nice yeasty and fruity aromas.
