2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 fiulijn (10440) - Como, - JUN 20, 2008
Cloudy blond color. Very dry and spicy; I don’t know if it’s the buckwheat, but there is a peppery touch. Quite strong bitterness. Not my kind, but correctly brewed. (I’ve been told that it’s brewed with buckwheat; not a mistake for Pays de Cocagne)

Bottle 33cl, a golden beer with medium head. The beer is deep, yeast like with caramel notes and butterscotch (diacetyl) aroma. Correct but a bit dusty and spicy.

Oct 2010. Valreas. Bottle from Le Clerc. A hazy blonde. Quite fizzy. Dirty tasting with some mineral notes and a herbal bitterness. While not delightful, the beer is interesting and slightly different from the norm - quite drinkable. A fairly typical example from this slightly odd-ball brewery in Brittany.

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 JorisPPattyn (6747) - Antwerpen, BELGIUM - AUG 19, 2010
White head gone in seconds over (cold) hazed orange-blond beer. Oxydized malts nose, oxydized grains (beer well before BBdated). Taste is again slighlty oxydized malt, nutty, wholemeal pasta, risotto made with cubed stock. Very spritzy MF, near fizzy. Even a bit agressive carbonation, slick, light to medium bodied. Prematurely aged beer, pity, as I’m used to better from Lancelot.
