Dark brown and beige lace. Mild aroma, dark fruits. Light fruits, aromatic, sticky fruit flavour but the mouth feel is well rounded off. Rich taste with well hidden alcohol, but not thick or concentrated. Different than I expected. Nice. (At Deanso?s tasting, bottle from trade in Paris)

Regusto largo, a cafe y alcohol y calorcito agradable. Buena copa

Brown with vanishing frothy head. Raisin, plums, toffee. Very sweet. Medium body with average carbonation. A belgian style dark ale that is not usual among french beers. But too sweet.

Bottle brought by friends!
Pours deep black with off-white head. Smell has roasted malts coffee, chocolate and licorice. Starts sweet with chocolate and milk coffee, paired with licorice and sweet caramel notes. Goes into a warming malty finish with chocolate, cacao, coffee and nuts. More Imperial Stout than Barley Wine, but still very good!

UPDATED: NOV 27, 2014 330ml bottle served in a Leffe chalice. A: Pours a brown color and a big beige head is formed. Retention is medium and old very few lacings are left S: Sweet. Coffee and dark chocolate first, followed by dry dark fruits like plums and raisins. Caramel and roasted malts T: Follows the nose. Coffee and dark chocolate are a must. Also roasted malts and yeasts. Dark fruits. And a nice earthy bitterness can be felt. Very well balanced sweet-bitterness M: Full molasses body. Medium to low carbonation O: Very easy drinking despite the 11% ABV. Great beer. The best French beer I’ve ever had [ BA Review @ 3/8/2012 ]
