Bottle thx to Sune. Hazy and dark brown in colour with a rather large head. Has kind of a belgian feel to it more than barly wine. Quite malty and sweet with notes of nuts, caramel, spices and yeast.

Pours a short brown head with both toast and wet cereals aromas. Light cinnamon also. Dark Amber to brown colored body. Thick and (too) warm in mouth. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle, 33cL. Home. Christmas gift. A dark sparkling brown beer with a big beige foamy head ; good retention ; good lacing. Roast, toast, prune, fig, alcohol. Medium sweet, round, nice warming background, light dry refreshing. Full body, average to light oily texture, average carbonation, sweet light warming finish. Overall, a good one ! Nice roasty fruity aroma, sweet, round, warming, very drinkable.

Bottiglia, 33 cl. In bocca è elegante e rotonda, caramello e malto.

33cl bottle, bought over a year ago in Lille, but brewed in 2011, so by now about 4 years old. Color is as good as black. Head is beige, but quickly disappears completely. Aroma’s of caramel, burnt sugar, dried fruit. Retronasal it’s sweet, burnt sugar, dried fruit. Flavor is heavy sweet. Medium bodied. Flavors linger, but no new flavors. Nice enough, if you’re in the mood for sweet.

Bottle. Thanks Davido. Great stuff. Aroma is fruity, fruit cake. Taste is great, Belgian fruitiness, very fruity, Belgian yeastiness. Very nice. Lots of use of the word ’fruit’ in this rating.

Bottle shared (thanks a lot Davido!). Deep brown with a tan head that lasts throughout. Currants and prune on the nose with a rum raisin cake quality as it warms. Heavy body with some stickiness. Rich with good sweetness. Very Belgian quad-like more so than a barley wine. Sweet finish with a hint of bitterness that is muted. Aweome.

Bottle shared. Huge nose of raisin and cake. Thick body, rich cereals with lots of dark fruit and cake, sweet finish. Lovely stuff, quite heady, more of a quad than a barley wine maybe.

Regusto largo, a cafe y alcohol y calorcito agradable. Buena copa

330ml bottle @ Shrewsbury Beer Share, May 15, courtesy of myself. Bought from Cave a Bulles, Paris. Pours deep dark brown with small off-white head. Taste is malty & fruity with some chocolate cake flavours. Decent French quad.

Couleur noire, bonne mousse beige. Corps onctueux. Fin grillée et douce. Pas mal
