Clear dark copper colour. Foamy,medium-sized head. Slightly roastmalty aroma. Taste is roastmalty, spicy, maybe a littlebit sharp with a bitter finish. An acceptable offer for a cheap Alt. Maybe a tad too bland.

Optisch erinnert das Alt an einen blassen Kupferton. Dadurch wirkt das Bier geradezu dünn. Der Geruch hat säuerliche Tendenzen und ist nur ganz leicht röst-malzig angehaucht. Der Auftakt ist bitter-herb. Es folgt ein wässriger, beinahe geschmacksloser Mittelteil, ehe im Abgang sich eine Spur von Malzigkeit einstellt. Landfürst Premium Alt ist ein äußerst schwaches Bier, dem man den Billigcharakter anmerkt. Alles in Allem eine ausdruckslose Mumpe. Test vom 28.6.2007, Gebinde: Glasflasche

Bitterer, etwas metallerner Geruch. Am Anfang ist ein herber Ton auszumachen, der langsam ins Bittere umschläst. Dazu kommt ein malziges Aroma, das schön eingeleitet wird, von einem penetranten Metallaroma allerdingsvollständig zur Nebensache wird. Ohne das Metallaroma häte das was werden können! Bottle 50 cl. Poured dark mahogny in colour with creamy off-white head. Dark bread and roasted malts in aroma. Malty and nutty in flavour, a bit metallic taste. Medium carbonated.

50cl bottle bought in Düsseldorf. Dark Amber with a dense cream head; slightly smoky toffee malt aroma; burnt caramel flavour; with a trace of hops to finish. Note the best Alt I’ve tried, but hardly surprising at 39c a bottle.

Bottled. An amber beer with an off-white head. The aroma has notes of malt and caramel. The flavor is sweet malty with notes of caramel and bread.

Bottle. brown colour with a beige. Aroma is roasted, malt, hop, caramel. Flavour is roasted, malt, hop, caramel. Ordinary beer.

Bottle from Krefeld. Chestnut brown colour, with an off-white, laceing and fine pored head, which diminishes quickly and leaves nothing, the carbonation is soft to average. Its nose is mainly of yeast, this follows some notes of caramell and hoppy spicyness. The start is moderate sharp, the taste’s light sweet, flavour is rather toasty than fruity. Aroma’s of a not too intensive caramell malt, grassy hops and upper fermented yeast. The finish is a bit richer (citric, spicy and dry) with a hoppy/tiny sourish aftertaste. Body is medium kinded, texture’s thin and gentle sticky. Unfortunately, it doesn’t accord a big Alt-experience for me, rather passes by...

UPDATED: JUL 12, 2010 Bottle. A clear, dark golden beer topped by a finger-thick off-white head leaving lacings. Matly, slightly nutty aroma with some hops. Caramel, some hazel nuts and a good bitterness in the flavor, but rather boring anyway. The finish is quite bitter for the style, and with a touch of metallic flavors. Dry, medium body, a bit over-carbonated. A rather boring one, but not bad. 100327

Bottled (Kahdet Kasvot, Tampere). Copper colour with mediumsized off-white head, leaves some lace. Aroma is caramel malts along with some slight roasted notes and slight herbal and wooden notes. Mild grassyness lurking as well. Flavour is caramel malts, some wooden notes as well as mild burnt notes. Ends in a quite herbal/grassy way.
