3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 EithCubes (3340) - GERMANY - FEB 16, 2012
Bottle. Sweet and sticky caramel nose, dark rich malt with berry, light earth. Deep blood red turning dark brown, supports a fully tanned rocky head. Taste is rather (bone) dry, crisp and a little gritty, with earth and roast, dark toffee, caramel, faint berries. Light mineral content. Medium-full body is not syrupy, but crisp and a little airy. Light chocolate and nuts, even gentle prickling from the noble hops. Mouth feels like I’ve had some Dutch licorice, but not the double stuff. A very good one.
3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 Koelschtrinker (7060) - Köln (Cologne), North Rhine-Westphalia, GERMANY - MAY 17, 2011
12/8/9/8/11/8
